WW2 dated Russian 3x 12.7mm Inert Rounds on belt as used by the Ilyushin Il-2 Aircraft, the 'Flying Tank'.

These 3x 12.7mm belted rounds are WW2 dated and are in very good condition.
The Il-2 was modified to carry a gunner, who operated a rear-facing 12.7 mm machine gun to defend against tailing fighters. Unfortunately, the rear gunner was not protected by armor plating, causing them to suffer losses around four times greater than the pilots.

The Ilyushin Il-2 Shturmovik is a ground-attack aircraft produced by the Soviet Union in large numbers during the Second World War. The Il-2 was never given an official name and 'shturmovik' is the generic Russian word meaning ground attack aircraft.

All inert Ordnance sold by Vigo Militaria and Collectables are Free From Explosives (FFE).
