WW2 German Silk Parachute from ME109E Pilot shot down over Kent during the Battle of Britain

This super piece of Battle of Britain History, is part of a parachute belonging to Feldwebel K. Hubel who was KIA when his BF109-1 Number 3391 was shot down by RAF Pilot Officer R. Berry of 603 Squadron during combat on 29th September 1940 at 1.45pm over Tonbridge, Kent.

This piece of parachute is 'B' marked which means it is the German WW2 Fighter Pilots parachute. It measures approximately 28 inches x 26 inches, it retains some burn marks and some of its parachute string, see pictures.

It is complete with its encapsulated information leaflet and further research which has been carried out.
