Deactivated Luger P08 - dated 1909 made by DWM - SN 3021

Here’s a cracking piece of history, a Luger P08 - dated 1909 manufactured by DWM Deutsche Waffen-und Munitionsfabriken.

This Luger came to us in very worn condition , although some may call it a relic, it isn’t, it had all moving parts so we had it deactivated, so it is now legal to own.

We understand that this was a bring back from Africa during WW2 (we do not have any evidence but we do not disbelieve this story) .

It was left for years hence the deterioration, it was also taken apart and some parts were missing, the magazine, trigger and mag release button, however it was put back together and the toggles move, the safety works as it should and the barrel moves a small amount. see pictures.

The last 2 pictures show the parts and the date of 09 prior to deactivation, so a very early Luger made by DWM.

Although not a mint Luger by any means it’s got great history and as an early 1909 example would she’ll in any collection. 

All deactivated weapons sold by Vigo Militaria and Collectables are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly.
