Major John Howard signed D-Day print, Pegasus Bridge. With letter of provenance.
Here’s a lovely print depicting Major John Howard, OIC of the Ox and Bucks, following the Coup de Main attack at Pegasus Bridge. Howard is meeting Brigadier Nigel Poett at 3am in Benauville, in the background the Horsa glider can be seen.
It has been personally signed by Major Howard and is in super condition, there is one small nick to the edge of the paper but this can be covered when it is framed. See pictures.
The print measures 64cm x 45cm and was originally produced by the Parachute Regiment.
Signed items by Major Howard are very rare especially on an official print. It’s the only one we have seen.
It has also been signed by the artist John F Sellars.
It also comes with a full letter of provenance by the person who’s father asked Major Howard to sign the print.
It will be shipped unframed and rolled up in a strong cardboard tube.
Note- we had trouble flattening the print for photography as it has been rolled up for many years, however it is in super condition and will look fantastic when framed.
