WW2 M1 American Helmet found France 1944.

Here we have a true survivor. This US M1 Helmet is a barn find from the campaign in France in 1944. We understand that it was found south from the invasion beaches and as such it has loads of patina, the shell has a bit of surface rust, the chin strap has oxidised and the liner chin strap has a little damage. But it’s all there and a wonderful piece of history from WW2.

Its a rear seam fixed bail helmet so late 1944 production. The liner is correct and it is completed with its correct WW2 net and it has its netting scrim.

A true piece of history from the WW2 battle for Europe.
