This original WW2 British Mk3 Turtle Helmet with Helmet Net, Scrim and Shell Dressing Bandage is in very good condition, it is also complete with its liner and chinstrap.
A fantastic piece of British WW2 history as used at D-Day.
The Mk III Helmet was first developed for the British Army in 1941 by the Medical Research Council.
First worn in combat by British and Canadian troops on D-Day, the Mk III and Mk IV were used alongside the Brodie Helmet for the remainder of WW2.
It is sometimes referred to as the 'turtle' helmet by collectors, because of its vague resemblance to a turtle shell, as well as the 1944 pattern helmet.
