WW2 German M40 SS Battle Damaged Helmet from the Nava Front

Here we have a very rare battle-damaged single decal SS M40 helmet found at Padaoru, a small village near Rakvere (Wesenberg).
In this area, there were several Dutch SS units stationed during the fighting at the Narva front in 1944.

It was among a pile of stones in a field, along with other items.
Although battle damaged the shell is very solid and we believe the maker is Quist.

The decal has worn, but the SS runes are still recognisable. It still has some of its green paint present. See pictures
