A rare Escape and Evasion Compass as used by SOE and the RAF during WW2.
This super little item which measures only 12mm across was issued to both SOE (Special Operations Executive) Operatives and to RAF Officers to be hidden about their person. It could be used in conjunction with a Silk Escape Map to find routes away from the enemy or to rendezvous points.
A fabulous piece of WW2 espionage history.
