WW2 US Airforce and OSS Silk Escape Map of Central China and French Indo China dated 1943.

A super double sided original WW2 Silk Escape Map as issued to the US American Airforce and OSS dated 1943.
These Escape maps were made of silk, because they could be sown into clothing so made no noise when the Operative or Airman was searched.
They also lasted longer than paper maps which would be destroyed if they got wet.

This WW2 Escape Map covers Central China and French Indo China.

It measures 66cm x 50cm.

It is in great condition throughout with some fold marks as you would expect. 

It came to us from an elderly collector and has a few folds where it’s sat since the end of the war.
