WW2 US Airforce and OSS Silk Escape Map of Japan South China Sea & East China Sea. Dated 1945.

A super double sided original WW2 Silk Escape Map as issued to the US American Airforce and OSS. 

These Escape maps were made of silk, because they could be sown into clothing so made no noise when the Operative or Airman was searched.
They also lasted longer than paper maps which would be destroyed if they got wet.

This WW2 Escape Map covers Japan South China Sea & East China Sea. Dated 1945.

It measures 85cm x 80cm.

It is in great condition throughout except for some fold marks as you would expect. See pictures 

It came to us from an elderly collector and has a few folds where it’s sat since the end of the war.
